Callahan and the Woodpile — live event
Callahan and the Woodpile found comfort in community. Fronted by singer-songwriter and former solo artist Callahan Ioannou, The Woodpile found each other through pleasant necessity; a group of friends old and new who had come together to form the live arrangements on the road for Callahan’s first album "Where Are You Going?" back in 2018. Though from that first show on, there was no going back. Everything felt richer, louder, and more lush with them behind him; and he began writing with this new lineup in mind. Callahan and the Woodpile released their first record "Burning Each Light" in April 2022. The 10 track album weaves through lapsteel-laced Alt-Country and heavy-hitting Indie-Rock with ease, with shoutable choruses, thoughtful lyrics, all while maintaining a folk sensibility. Join Callahan at the Rockwood Music Hall on November 6th for a night solo renditions of old favorites and songs from his forthcoming EP!
