Villa Delirium is a five piece ensemble inspired by eerie traditional folk songs of Germany, Ireland, the Balkans and murder ballads of the American South, Villa Delirium writes and performs their own startling compositions, as well as a couple of choice covers. Their sound has been described as new Gothic folk music. VD features: Tine Kindermann ( Iggy Pop, Marc Ribot ): voice, saw and violin. John Kruth ( TriBeCaStan, Violent Femmes ): voice, guitar, mandolin, banjo, sitar, harmonica and flutes Kenny Margolis ( Cracker ): accordion and keyboards Doug Wieselman ( Antony & the Johnsons, Laurie Anderson ): bass clarinet and clarinet.
