Main Bar / Patio | Free | 21+ Chicago/Los Angeles-based SUN SPEAK comprises longtime collaborators Matt Gold (guitar) and Nate Friedman (drums). The band has been praised for "combining the restrained virtuosity and intimate precision of a string quartet with playfulness and a wide-open feel (Chicago Reader)." Their fifth release, Trance (Flood Music), saw the addition of keyboardist Dan Pierson. With a new record releasing in fall 2025, SUN SPEAK reconvenes here for two duo sets of improvisations.
