Main Bar - Free Event | 21+ DJ Invicta makes her Sleeping Village debut this Memorial Day with a captivating night of haunting darkwave and invigorating EBM. An alternative music aficionado since early childhood, the Chicago native found her home in the city’s goth community when concert venues reopened their doors in 2021. Enthralled by the commanding sounds of modern post punk acts including Twin Tribes, WINGTIPS, Korine, Drab Majesty, and She Past Away, Invicta delved into the roots of the genre and began curating auditory experiences as a DJ. Spanning a gradient of moody to high energy beats, her sets include an emphatic nod toward Chicago’s own legendary and newborn dark music artists. Invicta is a resident DJ of Operating Tracks at LiveWire Lounge, regularly spins local darkwave shows, and has been featured on event bills for Ritual, The Dracula Show, Sanctum Festival, and ColdWaves.
