The Music Box of Rockford is happy to announce the beginning of its Karaoke Open Mic Nights hosted by Riley Sanders of Redwood Band. We will have a house guitar and cajon available for anyone to play and the following information explains the whole event! Time: 7:00 to 10:00 PM. Sign-up for Open Mic starts 6:30 PM and is first come first perform basis **\- OPEN MIC SLOTS & RULES** We hold 6 open mic slots each event. Three slots open early for online sign-up on our facebook event page, so you can plan your set ahead of time. Three slots are saved for in-person sign-up on the night. Come down, put your name in, and grab one at the door. This keeps it fair for everyone. Regulars can lock in a spot in advance, and anyone who shows up still has a real shot at the stage. Solo or duet performances only. 10 minutes or 2 songs, whichever comes first. Your setup time counts. If you take 3 minutes to setup, that is 3 of your 10 minutes. A guitar and cajón are provided and on stage for anyone to use. Original songs are encouraged, but all music is welcome. **NO COMEDY SETS, THIS IS A MUSIC NIGHT!** **\-KARAOKE INFO** You have your own rolling list all night, so you only ever wait 10 minutes on an open mic slot to sing. Karaoke blocks run 20 minutes at a time, trading off with the open mic. Things may be subject to slight changes depending on the makeup of the available players and singers in the room. We will be polishing the evening to ensure everyone feels accounted for over.
