MERIDIAN BROTHERS / MEXICAN INSTITUTE OF SOUNDS **** DJ SET  ****  Camilo Lara and Eblis Alvarez celebrate the release of their collaborative album Ruido Tovar (out May 22 on Ansonia Records ) on which they explore the tropical music of Colombia and Mexico — from cumbia to the experimental vanguard, with a special not to the 80’s Mexican cumbia of Rigo Tovar and the likes.  These are DJ sets - not full band live sets - and will include rare cuts from both Eblis and Camilo, as well as a panorama of the music that inspired them.  Ruido Tovar includes a special appearance by Beck as well as members of Rigo Tovar's Costa Azul - and the vinyl will be on sale at the show.  $20 Tickets  10pm to midnight Pay now or that day in person.
