A year abroad in Buenos Aires at 19 was his introduction to clubs. In the span of a month, sets from Folamour, Honey Dijon, and Dusky made it clear house music had infinite flavors and forms, and that understanding them was going to take time. Rooted in disco, soul, and the sampling lineage that connects early house to hip-hop, his sets move through jackin' vocal-driven grooves and raw, hypnotic tech house. He taught himself production alone during the pandemic, spent months getting feedback from Demuir, and that obsession has led to releases on Nervous, Robsoul, and Rek'd. He eventually released on Dusky’s label and received non-stop support from Folamour on his standout, “Vital Organ”. Along the way, he’s shared the decks with legends like Mike Dunn, Inland Knights, and Dam Swindle and hosted NY’s best: Dee Diggs, Kim Anh, Devoye, Cosmo, and MomaReady for his party, The Jukeboxx. None of it was planned. It still isn't. And that's the point. Born in Hawaii with Taiwanese roots and now based in Brooklyn, Timo Lee has spent over two decades immersed in music and nightlife culture. Her journey began on Honolulu radio before leading to residencies and programming roles, including curator at DJ Harvey’s thirtyninehotel. Today, Timo is a familiar presence behind the decks at venues such as Good Room, Public Records and a regular contributor to The Lot Radio. She is the founder of Chomp! Chomp! Records, the curator behind Good Bar’s acclaimed vinyl sessions, and co-owner of Bevy, a cocktail discotheque in Honolulu. Known for eclectic, genre-spanning sets that move effortlessly between techno, house, disco, and underground sounds, Timo creates dancefloor journeys driven by emotion, energy, and a deep love of musical discovery.
