Benitt’s debut project makes little sense other than it is beautiful. An unknown artist, selfproducing and performing a mix of 2000’s brit pop and teens alt R&B with songwriting anddelivery in the mode of most prestigious artists of today - Thom Yorke, Frank Ocean - thatsomehow achieves a sound distinctly his own. From South of Boston to the middle of LosAngeles, Benitt works essentially alone yet has rapidly gained attention from the likes of Nabilwho co-produced his debut video with manager David Airaudi (Steve Lacy, Syd) to agent BrentSmith (Kendrick, Donald Glover, SZA). Benitt has barely begun and is already delivering theexact respite we need from the content engines ruling today’s music scene, a bit of beauty.
