Steven Chelliah - FuzAsian® Meets Hendrix — live event

Steven Chelliah, is a Malaysian born Immigrant-American Guitarist, Composer and Vocalist based in Nyc and is the inventor of the FuzAsian® Method, a system of modern jazz that uses ancient Indian Scales (Ragas) as vehicles for expanding Jazz Improvisation, Harmony and Chromaticism. In this Concert entitled FuzAsian Meets Hendrix, Chelliah takes his original sound and style and seamlessly injects it into the rock standards of Jimi Hendrix, bringing classics like Purple Haze, All Along Watchtower, Foxy (and others) to a whole new dimension of Eastern sonorities. Here is a rising guitar star in the world of Rock and Jazz, packing with him original songs like 'Dreams of Yesterday' and 'Nothing Left To Give' from his debut album Fuzasian that bring back the nostalgia of music's golden age, in the context of the current day and age - while bridging the East and West into one harmonious chord! Steven will be accompanied by his band, John Colonna (Synth Keyboards, Keytar), Campbell Youngblood Peterson (Drums) , and Isaac Gaston (Bass). Come out for a Rocking Saturday night and let this Power-Quartet drive your energy levels beyond the roof! The concert will be opened by Tania Stavreva (7pm-8pm), International multi-award winning Billboard Top 10 artist and "Bulgarian-born piano dynamo”. More info on Tania can be found below.
