Jazz Legacy Project: Louis Armstrong — live event on Oct 9, 2026

Jazz Legacy Project: Louis Armstrong at Cain Center For The Arts, Cornelius on Fri, Oct 9, 7:30 PM. Tickets from $30.78. Lineup, start time and tickets on Ckord.
Created in 2015 after an epiphany Justin Varnes had while teaching a college Jazz History course, the Jazz Legacy Project combines education with entertainment. Each show features compelling stories about the artists and their influence on American music and culture woven in between authentic performances of popular jazz songs designed to engage casual audiences. Louis Armstrong is solely responsible for why we have so much great American popular music in the 20th century. Trumpeter and Singer Michael Cruse (Jazz at Lincoln Center, Louis Armstrong Museum) embodies Armstrong's spirit and prowess that honors - not imitates - the man musicians call "pops." Featuring, "Hello Dolly," "What a Wonderful World," and "Bourbon Street Parade." All ticket prices are subject to change.
