Ahn Trio w/ Antigoni Goni: Balkanophonia — live event
Ahn Trio and Antigoni Goni explore together on the musical heritage of the Balkans with 3 New Commissioned works for this unique collaboration of classical guitar and a piano trio. Serbian American composer Dusan Bogdanovic's Delphic Hymns are based on some of the oldest written music our culture has preserved, while Sting’s music is transformed into indie classical sounds of intimate chamber music. Paris based Atanas Ourkouzounov’s Lamento et Rock Bulgare, written especially for this collaboration, and the genre-transcending music of NYC-based Rubin Kodheli who grew up in Albania, Belgium, and Germany all in one evening come together to celebrate the beauty and diversity of modern chamber music.
