Dawnbringer + special guests — live event
DAWNBRINGER formed during the mid-1990s in the hills of Pennsylvania, bringing an adolescent yet holistic method to heavy metal songwriting. The original DAWNBRINGER played live only twice, partly due to lack of ability, but mostly because their amateur recording sessions were much more exciting. This formative period yielded such seldom-remembered albums as Unbleed (1997) and Catharsis Instinct (2001), and a third album called Snake which would remain in demo form for the next 15 years. Following the relocation of core members Chris Black and Scott Hoffman to the Midwest, DAWNBRINGER gradually matured from its stubborn DIY origins. In Sickness and In Dreams (2006) and especially Nucleus (2010) elevated DAWNBRINGER’s media profile and studio budgets. The music meanwhile became more refined, drawing heavily from the epic heavy metal of the 1980s and mostly leaving the sinister speed of the subsequent decade to more qualified practitioners. In March of 2011, after a thirteen-year hiatus, DAWNBRINGER performed live again.
