An Evening With Barbara — live event on Dec 5, 2026
Barbara live at 229, London on Sat, Dec 5, 7:00 PM. Tickets from $21.63. Lineup, start time and tickets on Ckord.
Charming chamber pop from Brighton group Barbara. Inspired by 1970s greats - the Kinks, ABBA, ELO - Barbara make classic, irresistible pop music with a literary approach. There’s something for everyone in Barbara’s sound: 70s US AM radio, a dash of English music hall, the effortless catchiness of a Broadway musical, a sprinkling of sequinned power pop, luscious Disney strings and glorious golden harmonies. Barbara have previously toured with Paul Weller, The Divine Comedy, Haircut One Hundred, Kid Creole & the Coconuts and Dean Friedman. And please… don’t forget to dance! “Barbara are one of the best groups about. Live they’re great, and their songs too. Clever and melodic. The Babs are fab!” Paul Weller “Barbara are wonderful. I love their songs and their humour. We need more Barbara in our lives!” Chris Difford (Squeeze) “They are so up my street ... really tight songwriting, very poptastic!” Neil Hannon (The Divine Comedy) on Barbara "Barbara are an insanely talented band with an innate sense of melody and arrangement ... The ambitious scope and toe tapping immediacy of their sound belies their tender years." Phill Jupitus
