USHAN — live event

USHAN

USHAN , with Special Guest Zé Nigro From São Paulo, Brazil, USHAN is a musical project that combines voice, guitar, koto, synthesizers, live looping, and real-time sound processing. Blending organic and electronic elements, the performances unfold as immersive, evolving sonic landscapes shaped in the moment. With a strong dialogue between music and performance, USHAN creates a sensorial atmosphere that feels like a portal into other states and imagined worlds — fluid, atmospheric, and not easily defined. Alongside original material, the repertoire also engages in dialogue with Brazilian music, incorporating quotations and fragments from bossa nova and other traditions, including Canto de Iemanjá (Baden Powell / Vinicius de Moraes) and Água de Beber (Tom Jobim / Vinicius de Moraes). Zé Nigro is a Brazilian musician, composer, producer, audio engineer, and multi-instrumentalist whose work bridges contemporary Brazilian music, funk, electronic, and Afro-Brazilian sounds through a balance of tradition and experimentation. Founder of Estúdio Navegantes in São Paulo since 2009, he has collaborated with artists such as Russo Passapusso, Anelis Assumpção, Curumin, João Donato, and Liniker. In 2024, he released his second solo album, Silêncio, through Nublu Records, featuring collaborations with Arthur Verocai. His career includes three Latin Grammy nominations, two wins for Best MPB Album, and recognition from APCA and the Multishow Awards. Alongside his work in music production, he is also active as an educator, developing workshops through Estúdio Navegantes, and creates projects spanning theater, dance, audiovisual arts, and international collaborations across Latin America, Europe, and the United States. @ushanoficial $20 - pay now online or at the door.
