The band was formed amidst the pandemic in 2020, spearheaded by frontman Vincent Nigro. Accompanied by Jason Wenzel (bass), Danny Mitchinson (guitar) and Matt Keenan (Drums), their sound would be pretty hard to box in. Taking notes from 90s/2000s grunge, and adding sounds like classic surf rock and shoegaze, there really isn’t a sound that they don’t draw inspiration from. They released their debut EP “God Damn, Give Up” in September of 2021, and since then has garnered nearly 115,000 streams on Spotify, as well as being featured on popular playlists like Grand Jury Record’s “Jury Duty”, as well as the “r/listentothis” collective. Throughout 2021 - ‘23, they have had the opportunity to play with talented acts such as Joyce Manor, glaive, Similar Kind, Sweet Pill, along with countless others. 2023 has been, and is on track to be their busiest year yet, with the first half of this year being spent writing and recording their debut album, and announcing a tour spanning from April to June of this year. With the upcoming months slated with releases, there’s no doubt Loveseat Pete will be on your radar, and probably on your playlists.
