Gian Perez, Marc Edwards & Caroline Morton — live event
The free improvisation trio consisting of Gian Perez (guitar), Marc Edwards (drums), and Caroline Morton (bass) blends elements of free jazz, noise rock, and experimental ambient music to create a sound unlike anything heard before in the Downtown music scene: soundscapes that range from high intensity infernos, to the nebulous vastness of outer space. Though relatively new as a unit, this trio has already played at established NY jazz institutions like Nublu, Downtown Music Gallery, Sisters, IBeam, among others. This trio is honored to continue the legacy of Marc Edwards, who has played with giants like Cecil Taylor, Charles Gayle, David S Ware, and Linda Sharrock.
