Bareket's collaborative projects show an eclectic streak, as is horn playing ranges from modern classic Eyal Vilner Big-Band, to the adventurous Ari Hoenig Nonet, to even the Ethiopian jazz inspired grooves of Anbessa Orchestra. As his star has continued to rise, Bareket has also woven these disparate musical strands together in his own projects, the latest of which is Zaman. He describes this incarnation below:The idea was born when I started looking into my family history. As I was learning about my ancestors, I unearthed many stories. I learned that my ancestors took great risks and made extreme life changes to pursue a better future. I imagined what it felt like to be in those moments and if that could be translated into music.
