Fernando García / Timbales Neil Ochoa / Drums About Cheo y los Consentidos de la Casa: Cheo y los Consentidos de la Casa is a New York–based salsa-funk orchestra led by Latin Grammy–winning guitarist and producer Cheo Pardo. Born at the legendary Nublu club as an experiment to reimagine Latin nights, the project has evolved into a cohesive ensemble with a distinct and uncompromising artistic voice. Blending the visceral drive of salsa with the deep groove of funk, the band departs from traditional formats by replacing horns with layered guitar textures, hypnotic riffs, and atmospheric echoes. The result is a sound that feels both rooted and forward-looking—urban, raw, and unmistakably New York. On stage, they deliver high-voltage performances that move beyond entertainment, creating an immersive musical experience that resonates with the pulse of the city and its diasporas. About Cheo Pardo: Venezuelan guitarist, songwriter, and producer Cheo Pardo is internationally recognized as a founding member of Los Amigos Invisibles and for his wide-ranging collaborations across the Latin and global music landscape. His work has been central to shaping a generation of groove-driven, genre-defying music that bridges popular and experimental traditions. Now based in New York City, Pardo leads Los Consentidos de la Casa, a project that channels his signature sound into a bold, contemporary direction. Blending salsa, funk, and Latin soul, the ensemble delivers a rhythmically charged and immersive experience, redefining the energy and possibilities of live music in the city. Through his work as a performer, producer, and bandleader, Pardo continues to push the boundaries of Latin music, crafting a sound that is at once deeply rooted, forward-looking, and unmistakably urban. About Fernando García: Puerto Rican drummer and composer Fernando García merges the island’s folk traditions with the language of jazz, shaping a sound that is both rooted and forward-thinking. Described by NPR’s Alt.Latino as “familiar yet so very new,” his work reflects a deep engagement with heritage while pushing into new sonic territories. Based in New York, García has performed with leading artists such as Miguel Zenón, John Benítez, and Cheo Pardo, establishing himself as a distinctive voice within the contemporary Latin jazz landscape. As a bandleader, he has released four albums, each exploring the intersection of tradition, improvisation, and modern composition. His most recent release, Behique (Sunnyside Records, 2023), was recognized as one of the 20 most influential Puerto Rican albums of the year. García is also a two-time recipient of the New Jazz Works grant from Chamber Music America, further affirming his role as an innovative force in today’s music scene. About Dan Martínez: Bassist Dan Martínez, born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, began his professional career at the age of 17, quickly developing a wide-ranging musical language that spans rock, pop, salsa, jazz, and Afro-Caribbean traditions. His early formation at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico, along with private studies with bass legend Eddie Gómez, laid the foundation for a deeply versatile and expressive approach to the instrument. In 2011, Martínez moved to New York City to pursue a Master’s degree in Jazz Performance, further expanding his artistic scope within one of the world’s most dynamic musical ecosystems. His adaptability and musical depth have led him to perform and record with acclaimed artists including David Sánchez, Al Jarreau, Rubén Blades, Randy Brecker, Alex Sipiagin, and Cheo Pardo. He has also toured extensively with ensembles such as Slavo Rican Assembly, La Mecánica Popular, and the Richard Padrón Group, contributing to projects that bridge tradition and innovation across the contemporary Latin and jazz landscape. About Felipe Fournier: Felipe is a percussionist and vibes player from Costa Rica who navigates between jazz and salsa. He has assembled a group of prominent, Grammy-nominated musicians in New York City, who have collectively played with some of the greatest jazz and Latin musicians – from Rubén Blades to Carlos Santana, from Richard Bona to Eddie Palmieri, from Miguel Zenón to Willie Colón. His tribute to Tito Puente emphasizes the King of the Timbales’ early mambo recordings and vibes performance. About Neil Ochoa: Born in Venezuela, percussionist and drummer Neil Ochoa has been a vital presence in New York City’s music scene for over three decades. Since arriving in 1995, he has built a dynamic and far-reaching career, collaborating with artists such as David Byrne, Ricky Martin, Los Am
