Coco Montoya — live event on Oct 23, 2026
Coco Montoya live at Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club, Portsmouth on Fri, Oct 23, 7:30 PM. Free entry. Lineup, start time and tickets on Ckord.
A Blues Music Award winner for Best New Artist and a nominee for Contemporary Blues Male Artist of the Year, Coco Montoya is celebrated by Living Blues as "one of the truly gifted blues artists of his generation." Billboard raved, "In a world of blues guitar pretenders, Coco Montoya is the real McCoy." Mentored by legendary "Master of the Telecaster" Albert Collins and spending a decade as lead guitarist for John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, the self-taught, left-handed guitar virtuoso and soul-deep singer has spent nearly three decades atop the blues world. Back-to-back with his hard-hitting road band, Jeff Paris, Nathan Brown, and Rena Beavers, Montoya delivers a heart-pounding live performance of blistering fretwork and passionate vocals, featuring material from his acclaimed Alligator Records album, Writing On The Wall.
