Paul is all about connecting with people through music – as a songwriter, recording artist or live performer. His original music combines the power of storytelling with infectious melodies to explore universal themes and emotions. His Americana-style sound has been compared to some of his favorite artists from Tom Petty to James McMurtry to Jason Isbell. After honing his lead guitar chops as a teenager, Paul fell in love with close harmony as a member of the Cornell acapella ensemble, Cayuga’s Waiters (yes, the same group The Office’s character Andy Bernard hails from). Paul’s affinity for multi-part harmony has been a hallmark of his music ever since, whether on his original recordings or classic covers with his band, Urban Coyotes. Paul’s songwriting journey has taken him from California to Cuba, where he and an NYC-based avant-garde dance troupe performed his original compositions at the International Ballet Festival in Havana. His Cutting Room debut will feature the outstanding studio musicians that accompany him on his releases Long Road Home and From the Attic, as well as a collection of new songs Paul will debut at the show!
