Our favourite one man world blues rock explosion is back at Maker for a rare gig! Drawing deeply from blues, rock, folk and world music, with a penchant for slide guitar and a distinctive deep growling voice, the songs and virtuoso guitar playing of John Fairhurst, delivered in pure raconteur style, narrate all the wild first hand experiences of a life on the road. After a 5 year hiatus, John powered back onto the scene in 2024, playing in 11 countries across Europe over the summer at numerous festivals, venues and theatres. He is overjoyed to be back doing what he does best. Hailed by Acoustic Guitar Magazine USA as one of the Top Resonator guitar players worldwide, John has released 5 albums over the last 10 years as both a solo artist and with his full electric band. ‘The Divided Kingdom’, was released in April 2019 to international critical acclaim.
