**Carson McHone** Carson McHone is an artist and songwriter originally from Austin, Texas, now living in Southern Ontario. McHone’s 2018 internationally released Carousel(LOOSE MUSIC), established her as a shrewd artist who raises unconventional questions with language equally at home in a poem or a short story. McHone has since released two more solo records, Still Life (2022) and Pentimento (2025), along with two EP’s, Camera Varda Variations (2022) and ODES (2024), via MERGE RECORDS, and recorded and toured five albums as a member of the rock ’n’ roll group, Daniel Romano’s Outfit (YOU’VE CHANGED RECORDS). **Birds Flying Backwards** Birds Flying Backwards are a London-based six-piece formed by friends and family of principal songwriter JR Sanders. Their sound is eclectic, shifting from alt-folk to droning psychedelia and left-field spiritual jazz. Following the release of Surrender to The Void, 2025 saw them exploring a more folk-oriented direction, all while further solidifying their reputation as the ‘purveyors of nostalgic, yet timeless rock reverie’ (Atwood Magazine).
