Kaki King is an American guitarist and composer known for her diverse range in different genres, percussive melodies, energetic live shows, and use of multiple tunings on acoustic and lap steel guitar. Rolling Stone has called her "a genre unto herself” for her groundbreaking approach to the guitar and her fearless exploration of new musical and artistic frontiers. Kaki's guitar playing has been described as both hypnotic and intricate, with complex rhythms and melodies that push the boundaries of what is possible on the instrument. Kaki is also an accomplished visual artist and has created a number of multimedia projects that combine music, film, and other visual elements.
