Drawing from a broad spectrum of sounds ‘HYPERVIOLENCE’ plays into each individual member’s strengths and influences, breaking new ground and extending the confines of modern metalcore with a potent mix of hip hop, EDM, hardcore, hyper pop and alternative rock.<br><br><em>“HYPERVIOLENCE" is our most realised and focussed work to date. It captures the blending of genres that has become synonymous with Windwaker’s sound over the last 5 years while also delivering on a more mature and cohesive front to back listening experience,”</em>muses Guinane.<br><br>Thematically the album is framed around a mind that is conflicted in identity and self confidence, contrasting two opposing personalities that exist in one host - introvert and extrovert, cold and compassionate, quiet and chaotic, light and dark, optimist and pessimist. These two personalities despise each other, but ultimately cannot co-exist without the other. The album takes listeners on a journey that concludes in acceptance.</p>
