MacMcCarty & KiddTwist is a Punk-Americana band & musical collective that speaks truth to power, comforts the challenged and challenges the comfortable. Punk-americana was named by a now deceased anonymous benefactor who provided funding for the project, specifically for the album song cycle AMERICANA CALLING. They sing the songs of Abraham's River. A location on the map that is part New York and part some small town on the western Appalachian foothills of Pennsylvania. Out in the land of the Whiskey Rebellion. Mac previously fronted the Van Monas in the early days of his recovery from despair and dysfunction.
