Rod Alonzo has performed in New York City at places like The Living Room, CB's Gallery, Pete's Candy Store, Sine, and Luna Lounge and has worked with Clare Byrne, Chris Brown, Teddy Kumpel, Tony Scherr, Anton Fier, Tony Mason, Rob Jost, Jeff Hill, and many others. In addition to performing, he loves writing songs for other artists. The Celestials sing astral folk in a blues and gospel mixture of acoustic/electric instrumentation, spacious vocal harmonies and incisive lyrics. A music collective from NY and CT with songwriting by Clare Byrne and Dan Strauss, musicians Michael Frost, Amy Larimer, and Nicholas Leichter.
