The Jazz Loft Big Band is the Loft's resident ensemble, one of three big bands at the Jazz Loft. The Jazz Loft Big Band is the ensemble that presents all of the Loft's major projects and backs up many of our artists that come through the Loft such as the Four Freshman, Marilyn Maye, Ken Peplowski, Warren Vache and so many other Jazz legends. The Jazz loft Big Band is the ensemble that presents the annual Nutcracker and other large scale projects, such as Stan Kenton’s Cuban Fire Suite, Duke Ellington’s Far East Suite, Count Basie’s Kansas City Suite, Charlie Parker with Strings project and was also the nucleus of the group that became the Kennedy Dream Project orchestra.
