Meet Sam Barsky! — live event

The Sweater Guy is coming to Color Club! This is a one-night-only, very special occasion to take a knitting workshop with Sam Barsky and/or hear his story in a seminar format. The night will end with an opportunity to talk with Sam directly and try on some of his famous sweaters! Sam Barsky is a visionary contemporary fine fiber artist whose work blurs the line between fine art, wearable sculpture, and living performance. His freehand sweaters — each an intricate, hand-knit tribute to iconic landmarks, natural wonders, and cultural moments — have redefined what it means to create with yarn. With no patterns, just passion and precision, Sam has turned a traditional craft into a bold visual language that speaks across generations and disciplines. His work has earned him global recognition, viral fame, and a place in the canon of American folk art, with an exhibition opening at the Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery in 2025. Register for the workshop, the seminar or both! Those staying for the entire program can add-on a "brown bag dinner" from All Together Now. There will be time between the workshop and seminar for networking, eating, etc. Beverages and snacks will also be available for purchase at the bar.
