CELLO SUNDAY is so back! After a few months, maybe a year away, we've resurrected it with Slow Cooked. so expect some interesting takes on this wonderful instrument. SLOW COOKED - is the musical moniker of and band fronted by Louie Barby, an experimental cellist originally from Holmfirth, West Yorkshire. He often uses experimental techniques, DIY technology and improvisation in his work, even building many of his own instruments - including a cello! With influences ranging from the 70s New York experimental music scene to modal jazz to contemporary classical, pop and even black metal, Alex’s songs attempt to make sense of past and present. A regular collaborator with acts including Orlando Weeks, Tony Njoku, Gazelle Twin, William Doyle and Anna B.
