Wielding guitar, banjo, mandolin, drums, and sometimes a literal saw being played with a violin bow, the Skunks deliver quick-paced, heart-ripping lyrics with an energetic performance that will have you jumping right along. This band will have you laughing, crying, and singing to some sweet harmonies before you even make it to the second verse. Lavender Blue: The music of Asheville, NC based artist Lavender Blue, the moniker for Kayla Zuskin, is as soft as it is spiky. The moniker stemmed from her own partial color blindness. Performing since 2017, her recently released LP, The In Between, floats somewhere between the nostalgia of 90’s grunge, lilting folk, and imaginary sonic worlds, inspired by the concept of liminal space both physically and psychically.
