>>> The Breaks Inc. are a six-piece retro-rock outfit. The band lives together in a crummy apartment in Queens. The bass player doesn't do dishes. The whole thing is very 1993. Every few weeks or so they cram their gear into the trunk of a sagging '84 Eldorado with suspension issues, and drive across that great span of the Williamsburg Bridge, into the heart of lower Manhattan's villages to play for the devoted following they've garnered over the past 12 months. Their first album is in progress. After 2 EPs and a handful of singles released last year, The Breaks Inc. have been streamed over 43,000 times on Spotify. "No Words (It's Just This Thing That I Do)" debuted on WFUV 90.7 in New York City. In summer of 2022, the band played at the Pleasantville Music Festival with the likes of Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze and X Ambassadors. The Breaks Inc. maintains a monthly residency at The Bitter End in Greenwich Village.
