La Doña in concert with special guests, is a fundraiser for Music Declares Emergency US (MDE US), a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire artists, music industry professionals, and organizations to stand together and declare a climate and ecological emergency, and call for an immediate governmental response to protect all life on Earth. We believe in the power of music to activate fans to accelerate the cultural change needed to create a sustainable future. The concert has been selected as an official event for the 2023 Climate Week in NYC. La Doña, the musical persona of Cecilia Cassandra Peña-Govea, shares her latest single and music video, "Show Me How You Livin," feat. Tia Nomore from her upcoming EP Can't Eat Clout out September 15th via Text Me Records. Incorporating elements of flamenco, Cuban tarareo, salsa, and second-line brass composition, all of which are layered over a hyphy beat, this new offering from the Bay Area artist provides a glimpse into what her upcoming project has to offer.
