Uncover Music presents Special Friend Special Friend is a Franco-American indie noise pop duo formed in 2018 by Erica Ashleson (drums, vocals) and Guillaume Siracusa (guitar, vocals). Their first self-titled EP, released in 2019, marked the beginning of their musical journey, blending influences of minimalist indie/pop noise reminiscent of bands like Yo La Tengo, Duster, and Electrelane. Two years later, their debut album "Ennemi commun" received a wave of positive reviews, leading them to perform at significant festivals such as La Route du Rock, Binic Folk & Blues Festival, and the Paris Pop Fest. They also opened for artists such as Juan Wauters, Mystic Braves, Girls in Hawaii, Minami Deutsch, Requin Chagrin, Holy Wave, Secret Shine, among others.
