Monday live at Morocco Bound Bookshop on Mon, Sep 21, 6:30 PM. Tickets from $11.33. Lineup, start time and tickets on Ckord.
Objects can carry memories, histories and stories far beyond their apparent usefulness. Using everyday possessions, photographs, keepsakes and found objects as starting points, we’ll explore how things can become unexpected doorways into poetry. Attendees are invited to bring a “found object” to the session — an heirloom, keepsake, everyday item or something (clean and dry!) salvaged from nature/ the city. **Rough schedule** 6:30-6:40pm: welcome, time to grab a drink 6:40-7:00pm: warm-up exercise & discussion 7:00-7:45pm: reading, discussing, writing 7:45-8:00pm: break 8:00-8:30pm: reading, discussing, writing 8:30-9:00pm: sharing, workshopping, editing *Ruth is a London-based poet & tutor originally from the West Midlands.
