Res epitomizes the archetype of an artist rebelling against the confines of traditional industry boxes, effortlessly carving out a niche that is distinctively her own. Her debut album, How I Do, has been immortalized as a cult classic, while its successor, the independently released Black Girls Rock, unveils Res as an artist exploring and expressing her authentic voice. The hit track from this release, For Who You Are, has remarkably amassed over 10 million YouTube streams. Penned by Res and co-produced with her late mentor, Wah Wah Watson, it echoes her indomitable spirit and drive.
