Her music has been featured on several curated playlists, including Fresh Finds. She’s a multi-hyphenated music and theatre artist, working in the creation and performance of both mediums and deeply interested in how they intersect; her shows reflect this. She’s brought her spectacular band all around the city for the last 7 years, and is grateful to return to the Brooklyn Made stage. Sarah Khatami Sarah Khatami is an Iranian Muslim singer/songwriter with a keen eye for storytelling and a soulful voice that resonates with honesty and vulnerability. Growing up with a diverse fusion of cultural influences, her unique style merges elements of R&B, soul, and jazz, highlighted by complex vocal arrangements, expressed in both English and Farsi. Upon the release of her debut album, stalemate, in June 2024, Sarah successfully solidified her place as a prominent artist in the NYC music scene, drawing large crowds at shows throughout the city and beyond. Receiving high praise from many notable music publications, including Illustrate Magazine and Cougar Microbes, Sarah’s music explores the multifaceted layers of the human condition, serving as a poignant mirror to society’s collective experiences.
