Official Claire is one of Chicago's finest new songwriters, bringing poetic precision along with big, swaying hooks. The Chicago Reader (5/2/2025) recently recommended her, and wrote of her "incisive, witty lyrics... sensitivity and straight talk... (she) puts a wry twist on the breakup song." She's also a calm shredder of guitar, both gritty and delicate. Growing up in the Chicagoland area, Claire caught the attention of former Wilco member LeRoy Bach, who now serves as both a live band member and studio collaborator. Claire's live quartet also features Brooks Hannon and Jake Keenum of Crisis Actress. Claire was recently selected by Slow Pulp to open their Lollapalooza after-party. Her latest release, Midnight Dickbiter, showcases five remarkable compositions: dark and personal, yet generous and celebratory.
