After a successful debut tour of Australia in 2024, English folk singer-songwriter and guitarist BLANCO WHITE has today announced his return to Australia in March 2026.Blanco White is the project of Josh Edwards. The choice of name was inspired by Spanish writer, José Maria Blanco White. Originally from London, Josh went on a trip to Latin America as a young kid aged 10 that began a fascination with the Spanish speaking world. Reading Spanish at University, he later lived in Cádiz where he studied flamenco guitar under the guidance of Nono Garcia, before travelling to Sucre to learn the Andean instrument the charango. Both instruments became centrepieces in the songwriting and otherworldly sound of Blanco White.The identity of the project has continuously evolved since Blanco White’s first releases in 2016, but a reverence for language, the surreal and musical curiosity has been ever-present.
