EXTRA SPICY PLEASE is making its Bossa Nova Civic Club debut on Saturday, May 16 during their happy hour with eevee, SilkyBlack, discnogirl and ANICHE. We're excited to bring this lineup of amazing underground sounds! FREE ENTRY 7-10 pm SilkyBlackBorn and raised in Crown Heights Brooklyn, SilkyBlack is on the set to make ya booty move. Jersey club, Dancehall Miami Bass, Funke and more for the vibes. Bring ya dancing shoes! EEVEEAfter dabbling in music journalism and college radio, Brooklyn-based EEVEE opened a new chapter in her love for music as a DJ. Derivative of their Southern and Caribbean roots, expect a variety of Black genres: think New Orleans bounce, alternative R&B, Southern Crunk, Jersey club, ghettotech, bouyon, Miami bass, and disco. If you really want to feel the EEVEElution, shake some ass on the dancefloor. discnogirlSteadfast sonic powerhouse, Discnogirl, is an Oakland-based DJ, producer and co-founder of Strapt. With a career devoted to Black American club music, he approaches his work by honoring its roots and origins. ANICHEANICHE is an Indian-born, Brooklyn-based genre-agnostic DJ, producer, curator and community builder blending Hindustani Classical roots with experimental club sounds into genre-fluid sets. His sets move like controlled chaos: joyful, unpredictable, charged with energy, bass, and moments that catch you off guard. He’s the founder of @finding.your.niche, known for events like EXTRA SPICY PLEASE and for the people, a substance-free, community-focused series. His sets have moved crowds at countless venues from Elsewhere to SILO to Public Records in New York City, and beyond like San Francisco and Tokyo’s underground scene. A resident at Halfmoon Radio and Newtown Radio, ANICHE is known for high-energy, boundary-pushing sets rooted in intention and cultural influence.
