British/Australian composer, singer, and producer Hana Stretton has quietly emerged as one of the most compelling new voices in contemporary folk and experimental music. Her 2023 debut album, Soon, earned a devoted international following for its warm production, spacious songwriting, and deep sense of place. The record caught the attention of Phil Elverum, who reissued it on his own label in 2024. Elverum praised Stretton’s ability to capture “the deep flourishing sound of a quiet listening mind in full blossom.” Her forthcoming album, tiarn (summer 2026), expands on that vision, shifting from the Australian bushland to the Pacific Ocean while introducing subtle classical and electronic textures. Joining her is Montreal songwriter Helena Deland, whose music explores the spaces where language falls short and emotion takes over. Since the release of her acclaimed debut album, Someone New, Deland has established herself as one of the most distinctive voices in modern indie music. She has toured extensively throughout North America and Europe alongside artists including Weyes Blood, Andy Shauf, Soccer Mommy, and Iggy Pop. Together, Stretton and Deland present an evening of intimate, transportive songwriting from two artists pushing the boundaries of contemporary folk and indie music.
