Jerome Degey Quartet featuring Teymur Phell

Guitarist Jerome Degey leads a fabulous quartet featuring bass player Teymur Phell with pianist David Rodgers and drummer Raul Valdes, playing a variety of jazz standards, eclectic impressions, melodic emotions, and exotic grooves. Jerome Degey is a platinum and gold album producer, arranger, and guitarist from Paris-France, now living in Nashville. With his French and Afro-Caribbean family heritage and a long immersion into the Brazilian culture, he naturally blends jazz, soul, world music, and "popular songs" in his musical choices. Born in Azerbaijan, Israeli bass player Teymur Phell lived a decade in NYC performing with top musicians such as Arturo Sandoval, Mike Stern, Bill Evans, Randy Brecker, Simon Phillips, Oz Noy, Dennis Chambers, Leni White, Steve Smith and many more. His 1st album, "Master Volume," features Chad Lefkowitz Brown, Mike Stern, and Dennis Chambers(...). He recently moved to Nashville. Pianist and composer David Rodgers has toured or performed alongside artists including Keb’ Mo’, Taj Mahal, Ricky Skaggs, Kirk Whalum, and Jonathan Butler, and has also recorded on numerous records including Keb’ Mo’s Grammy-winning Oklahoma (2019). He has performed worldwide at the Montreux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, and the Playboy Jazz Festival, among many others. His compositions and arrangements span multiple genres, have been performed internationally, and have aired on network television including ESPN and the SEC Network. David holds a bachelor of music degree from Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music where he pursued both classical and jazz piano performance, and holds a masters of music degree from Belmont University where he studied commercial composition. He has released two albums as a leader: his 2017 genre-bending, debut project Songs For A Generation; as well as his 2019 album, Doorways. Born in Cuba, Raul Valdes was a Drums and Percussion National School of Music Professor in La Habana, performing with “Grupo Perspectiva”(Arturo Sandoval) and members of “Irakere”. After earning a University Of North Texas scholarship, he moved to the US, toured the globe as blues legend Lucky Peterson’s drummer, while playing with renowned blues Guitarist Matt Schofield, or pianist virtuoso Nachito Herrera.
