FOUND SOUND NATION - A SALON SERIES Grounded in Found Sound Nation’s ethos that encourages the diminishing of boundaries in music-making and music-listening — be they ethnic, cultural, or stylistic — FSN Presents features a diverse curation of artists from our global FSN network. Each concert features an FSN-curated artist who, in turn, invites a guest to share the bill. Each performer will offer an intimate 20-30 min salon style set, inviting audiences to experience a unique, intimate offering of sound and story. FSN presents: MELISSA ALMAGUER + ELIANA FISHBEYN. Melissa Almageur’s primary instrument is tap dance, with a practice rooted in a deep exploration of sound as it is experienced in everyday life—construction, birds, conversations, wind, and the rhythms that are constantly shaping our environments. Expanding beyond the traditional tap board, her performance setup incorporates textured surfaces, drums, gongs, seeds, chains, field recordings, and found objects, allowing her to investigate a wider spectrum of sound.  Eliana Fishbeyn performs on a self-designed electronic instrument that she has been developing over the past 1.5 years, drawing inspiration from Butch Morris's Conduction, Ramona Andra Langley's Crash Music, and other digital-age folk practices. $20  Pay here in advance or at the door
