OUR WORLD (Nuestro Mundo) — live event
Co-led by saxophonists Jeff Lederer and Mario Scaramuzza, “Our World” plays music inspired by the great Argentinian saxophonist Gato Barbieri, linked with the foundations of Uruguayan Canbombe drumming. The music ranges from traditional Candombe and Haitian Rara tunes to Gato’s Latin jazz to free improvisation and is all informed by the belief that even in these challenging times music is the healing force that will bring us all together in our shared world.
