Born in Rwanda, raised in Belgium, and now based in London, Ineza is a jazz vocalist with a remarkably distinct voice, blending contemporary jazz with elements of neo-soul and folk. Ibuka, meaning “Remember” in Kinyarwanda, is a deeply personal project dedicated to her late adoptive mother, Francine Declercq. The album features heartfelt compositions that explore themes of memory, heritage, and loss, with standout tracks like “Silence” and “Song For My Mother,” the latter showcasing a stirring bass solo by Ben Crane.
