Lovesick Duo — live event
Lovesick are an Italian based band comprised of Paolo Roberto Pianezza and Francesca Alinovi; two multi-instrumentalists, whose influences are deeply rooted in the American country, rock'n'roll and western swing music of the 40s and 50s. In addition to their vocal harmonies, Paolo plays electric and acoustic guitar, as well as single and double necked lap steel, resonator and Dobro guitar. Francesca plays double bass with the addition of a brush pad, a percussion built into the double bass to keep the rhythm with a drum brush. The duo are joined by Alessandro Cosentino on fiddle and drums. ‘Goin Down’ and ‘Until I’m Done’ - both out today - are the first AA singles from Lovesick’s new album ‘Remember My Name’ – slated for release in the first half of 2024. With 5 albums under their belt to date, Lovesick have their new album ‘Remember My Name’slated for release in 2024. Recorded in Los Angeles during the late American spring of 2023, ‘Remember My Name’ was produced & mixed by Fabrizio “Fab” Grossi & mastered by Gavin Lurssen. In Australia, the band are releasing a double A side single ‘Goin’ Down’ and ‘Until I’m Done’ ahead of the LP. Lovesick’s songs have been broadcast on radios across Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States and Brazil, steadily increasing the band’s popularity around the world since their 2015 formation. Their live shows are greeted with an affection and warmth that is fully expressed by the sold out signs at every stage of the band’s recent tour that has touched the clubs of large cities such as Rome, Milan, Verona, Treviso and Bologna, their hometown. Lovesick have played as opening act for Ben Harper, Zucchero. Toquiño and Edoardo Bennato and they have played big festivals all around Europe, alongside the likes of The Offspring, Social Distortion, Walter Trout, Fu Manchu, Secondo Casadei Orchestra and Ten Years After. . Their strong presence on social media has also led to interest from a number of television productions, with Paulo and Francesca invited to participate, both as actors and musicians, in the movie about Francesco Totti’s life 'Speravo de morì prima’ which, rather intriguingly, translates to ‘I Hoped He Would Die Sooner’, and in 'Lamborghini', released in cinemas in USA and Europe. Paolo and Francesca will again combine their acting and musical skills in a new series about Oriana Fallaci that will be out in the European Autumn of 2023. To date Lovesick have independently sold more than 19 000 copies of their albums in Europe, the United States and Asia.
