Jon and the Projectors w/ Aunt Judy — live event

Jon and The Projectors fuses Jon Weisbrot's original songs with elements from pop, R&B, soul, and jazz. Jon and The Projectors will leave you with a fun and instant energy from horn driven saxophone solos to singing along to soulful and vulnerable songs. Aunt Judy is a local female-led pop-funk band based in Greenpoint. The band was formed in 2020, but Aunt Judy has early roots with vocalist Lili Warren and drummer Frankie Guzikowski having played together in their high school band. The instrumental trio and two vocalists started in a tiny studio in Dumbo, and have since upgraded to a shared apartment that also serves as their rehearsal space. They thrive when playing originals most often written collaboratively with Lili W. and Lucy Boisvert taking the creative reins with lyrics. Guitarist Will Hamilton and bassist Dan Smith's respective jazz and R&B backgrounds combined with their sheer chops bring drive and skill to the group's tight orchestration. Aunt Judy runs heavy on female harmonies, genuine enjoyment and true friendship, sprinkled with silly energy.
