Originally from Mississippi, Dent May has been based in Los Angeles for more than a decade. He first gained wider recognition with his debut album, "The Good Feeling Music of Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele", released in 2009 via Paw Tracks, the label founded by Animal Collective. Since then, he has released six more albums, consistently developing his distinctive, melodic songwriting rooted in indie pop, psychedelic pop, and classic American songwriting. He has also collaborated with Eyedress, with their joint track "Something About You" earning a platinum certification.
