BALSA DE FUEGO (Raft of Fire) mixes Caribbean Cumbia, Joropo from the Colombo-Venezuelan plains (los Llanos); Currulao from the Colombo-Ecuadorian Pacific coast and North American jazz. This new project is led by Colombian composer Juan Sebastian Monsalve whose influential band Curupira, is one of the originators of the new Bogota scene.
