Powers and the People – a five-piece indie rock band writing and playing in Nashville, TN. "PNTP" is the communion of singer Adeline Powers, keyboardist Alaina Milukas, guitarist Connor Doak, bassist Nick Best and drummer Mary Smith. Hailing from up and down the Eastern United States, the five met in Nashville for the common goal of playing music. Brought with each is an eclectic mix of influences including jazz, funk, rock, folk, and punk music. Combined with Adeline Powers’ lyrics and songwriting, Powers and the People’s music evades categorization and their high-energy shows leave listeners with nostalgic ear-worms they’ll swear they’ve heard before, and new sounds they’ll never hear anywhere else.
