SHABBOS RANKS - Klezmer dub To be followed by an all cassette DJ set from DJs SAM GØØDY and SBARRO MANCINI Shabbos Ranks is an exploratory trip through experimental dub, klezmer, and improvised music, formed by Celeste Cantor-Stephens and Sam Day Harmet. This collaboration was ignited by a shared interest in the language of Jewish music, spun through a kaleidoscope of experimental influences at the intersection of their respective homes, Bristol, UK and Brooklyn. Here, klezmer meets spaced-out skanking, Downtown jazz, dubby post-punk, and moody psychedelia. They are joined live by Ilya Shneyveys (synth, bass), Erica Mancini (keys, flutes), and Jordan Auber (drums).
